What can I wear? Is there a strict dresscode?

GEAR is famous for its friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Part of this is due to guys with casual clothes mixing with fetish men.

There are changing cubicles for guys with leather, rubber, uniforms,

PVC, lycra, sports and naked. There is a secure cloakroom to leave

your coats/bags while you enjoy GEAR's bar and facilities.

(Note that GEAR is a masculine party so sorry no drag/TVs)

Can I bring my camera or get pictures at Gear?

The venue don't want 'action' pictures taken as it's a private club

so what happens in the playareas has to stay private.
However Gear has a camera at its events and we are happy

to take social/profile images for members which we will then

forward after the party (ensure we have your email please!)
As a suggestion earlier on is more convenient for us.

The general rule is only Gear staff will approach you about pix

but we have selected media photographers who may ask 

your permission to be featured in newsletters and publicity -

you're entitled to decline! Anyone asking should state who they

are and what the images are for.

This policy protects privacy of members and Gear. Plus it avoids

awkward emails afterwards when guys ask who had taken images

and what they are for.  Over the years we've had quite a lot of chasing 

round to find out who had unauthorised cameras at Gear events.

but please check for double-yellow lines and any parking plates.
